In honor of Earth Day 2017 last month, Debra-Lee Adams’ third and fifth period English language arts classes at Midway Middle School completed a variety of activities.

One of the activities was Writing Wednesday, when students wrote letters to state Rep. Al Williams, D-Midway.

Students shared their concerns regarding the environment, recycling, pollution and school bus safety.

On May 2, Williams visited Adams’ third period 6th grade ELA class. The students were given the opportunity to express their thoughts and get feedback from him.
