GSU spring honors

STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized students on spring 2017 honors lists.

More than 1,350 students were named to the president’s list, which means they had at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Study in Cuba
ATLANTA — Jayde Spooner participated in an international education experience on the political and economic opening of Cuba during a spring short-term program at Georgia State University.

Spooner,  of Allenhurst, is majoring in English. More than 300 Georgia State students studied abroad during the spring of 2017.

Georgia State, an urban public research university, is a national leader in graduating students from widely diverse backgrounds.

The student body of more than 53,000 demonstrates that students from all backgrounds can achieve at high rates with unsurpassed connections to the city’s business, government, nonprofit and cultural organizations.
