Local band 3rd Class Citizens held a release party April 26 to celebrate its new EP, just three days after learning 3CC was nominated by its fans for the Georgia Music Awards’ category of best country group.
Members of 3CC were on hand at the event to sign CDs, photos and T-shirts. They also introduced their newest member: Earnest Spiva of Savannah.
The party featured entertainment including area artists Wyatt Richey, Kickin’ Up Dust, Jerico River, members of the Coey Jones Band and 3rd Class Citizens.
Alexandria Danyale from Hilton Head Island and Matt Brantley from Milledgeville also performed for the crowd.
The local band released its first EP, “Ride With Me,” named after a single about Liberty County written by Blaine Bunting.
All of 3CC’s songs soon will be available on iTunes.
Fans can vote for Georgia Music Awards nominees through June 2 at gamusicawards.com.
The winners, chosen by 50 percent vote and 50 percent industry-panel ranking, will be revealed June 14 at the Buckhead Theater in Atlanta.
