A seminar on attracting wildlife to a yard will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fort McAllister State Park, 3894 Fort McAllister Road in Richmond Hill
Attendees will learn how to create an inviting habitat for birds and other wildlife and observe them from their homes. Participants will receive a packet of literature and plans for making their own bird houses and bat houses.
Cost is $2 per person, plus a $5  per-car park pass
Also at Fort McAllister, there will be a seminar on the basics of hunting in Georgia.
The seminar will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5
The class is geared toward those thinking of becoming a hunter but aren’t sure how to get started. Attendees will learn when , what and where they can hunt. They also will learn how to stay safe and what equipment they will need. This class will be taught by a state game officer.  Take this opportunity
