The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Liberty County plans to honor cancer survivors by dedicating the first lap of this year’s relay to them.
The event is expected to kick off at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, with a free dinner in the Frank Long Elementary School cafeteria for cancer survivors who may each bring one guest.
The Survivors’ Lap will follow at 7 p.m.
Survivors are encouraged to pre-register as soon as possible. With registration, you will receive your survivor shirt and dinner.
Complete a survivor registration form that is available from Sharon Dunham at Lewis Frasier Middle School.
Also, you can register online at:  www.acsevents.org/libertycounty under “Survivor RSVP.”
The opening Survivor Lap provides a moving start to the Relay for Life.
The lap represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one-day cancer will be eliminated.
