Celebrate Christmas in the park

Christmas in the Park is planned for 5-8 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Bradwell Park and Main Street area between ML King Jr. Drive and Court Street in Hinesville.
Event goers will enjoy free children’s activities, holiday entertainment, refreshments, various non-profit booths, and several shops remaining open late.
This year’s celebration combines the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce’s long-standing, traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony with a newer event, Santa in the Park, that took place for the first time in 2006. By bringing the two popular events together, Christmas in the Park promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Entertainment by several area performing groups will be featured throughout the event area.
Free activities include visits with Santa, a live reindeer display, decorate-an-ornament station, inflatable rides, living nativity display, refreshments, clowns, and balloons.
Also, photos with Santa will be available for $5 each and parents are welcome to bring their own cameras.
The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6:45 p.m. with the lighting of the tree at 7 p.m.
The evening, designed to provide free family entertainment and activities to kick-off holiday celebrations, is sponsored by Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, The Heritage Bank, Hinesville Area Arts Council, and Fort Stewart MWR.
