Pastor Ray and Mahalia Gordon Sr. of Riceboro announce the engagement their daughter Kaneetha Arlese Gordon to Gregory Anthony Grant Jr., son of Mr. Gregory A. Grant Sr. and Ms. Rhondia Grant of Brunswick.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Amanda Gordon and the late Isaiah Gordon Sr. of Riceboro and the David Grant Sr. and the late Louisiana Grant-Askew of Jones. Kaneetha received her Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2007 and a Master of Science degree in criminal justice from Kaplan University in 2010. She currently is a youth program specialist for Telamon Corporation.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Henrietta Loyd and the late Robert Loyd Jr. and Mr. Bobby Small Sr. and the late Miss Cassie Jean Grant. Gregory received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Fort Valley State University in 2007 and currently is pursuing a Master of Science degree in criminal justice executive leadership at Walden University. He currently is a law-enforcement officer with the Department of Defense.

The wedding will be Saturday, May 5, on Fort Stewart, with the reception to follow.
