Robert and Pamela McDonald of Hinesville and Gary Sr. and Sue Tyler of Candlor, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter Olivia Anne-Marie Tyler to Joseph Logan McCorkle, son of Joey and Robin McCorkle of Hinesville.

Grandparents of the bride-elect are Lena Shultz and the late Wesley Shultz Sr. of Middletown, N.Y., and Valentine and Linda Tyler of Campbell Hall, N.Y.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Zelma Maddox and the late Lonell Maddox of Wrightsville and Lemmon and Marjorie McCorkle of Claxton.

Olivia is a graduate of Liberty County High School and Savannah Technical College with a degree in phlebotomy.

Logan is a graduate of First Presbyterian Christian Academy and will attend Army basic training at Fort Sill, Okla., in September.

The couple will wed Aug. 24 at New Life Family Church in Midway.
