The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 40th birthday by hosting a school supply drive beginning Friday for children in need.

The Chamber is asking for contributions. Several businesses have offered to serve as drop-off spots for donations, including South Georgia Bank, Coldwell Banker, Yates Astro, CH2M and Ameris Bank. Donations are also accepted at the Chamber/Convention and Visitors Bureau offices.

Items such as pencils, crayons, notebooks, binders, paper, coloring pencils, etc. are all appreciated.
