New Life Family Church in Midway hosted its ninth annual Christmas store Dec. 14. The project helps needy families from local communities “buy” Christmas gifts for their children.
This year, the Christmas store’s fundraising efforts netted more than $17,000, which was used to buy gifts for 175 children. Parents were invited to “shop” in the store, giving them the opportunity to select gifts their children will like.
The event was designed to let parents and children enjoy the experiences of giving and receiving gifts during holidays, according to New Life Family Church Pastor Jeremy Lormis.
