Civil War ship topic at lecture

“The Story of the Nashville,” the next installment of the Richmond Hill Historical Society lecture series will be at 7 p.m. May 2 at the Fort McAllister Museum on the 144 Spur.  
Historian Danny Brown will discuss The Nashville, which was named The Rattlesnake when it was sunk during a battle with the USS Mantauk in the Ogeechee River near Fort McAllister, and its role during the Civil War.
The lecture is open to members of the society and the public.  Parking fees will be waived.
