Coastal Manor stages its first beauty pageant

Coastal Manor’s first resident beauty pageant recently crowned Rosetta Fleming as Ms. Coastal Manor.

She is 63 and has resided at Coastal Manor since 2014. She was born in Midway and worked at the King and Prince on St. Simon’s Island. Fleming serves as Coastal Manor’s Resident Council President, leading monthly meetings to hear concerns the residents may have. Her hobbies include singing and reciting poetry.

Liberty County Commission Chairman Donald Lovette, who also runs the laboratory at the nursing home’s parent Liberty Regional Medical Center, served as the master of ceremony.

The hospital’s CEO, Mike Hester, welcomed guests, crowned the winners and awarded trophies to all of the participants.

Diana Willis was named first runner-up, and Sara Ayers received 2nd runner-up.

Hester thanked Ameris Bank and the Wingmen Motorcycle Club of Long County for contributions as Diamond Level sponsors, and The Heritage Bank for its Ruby Level sponsorship

Kylie Dixon, the home’s activities/social services coordinator, was recognized for organizing the event.

As Ms. Coastal Manor, Fleming will advance to the state pageant on April 1 in Stone Mountain to compete for the Georgia Health Care Association crown.
