If you enjoyed Bertonatti’s concert, be sure to check out the Sax and the Summer concert at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Yellow Bluff Company. The event is hosted by the Hinesville Area Arts Council, Yellow Bluff, Joy’s Marie’s Home Decor and the Frame Gallery.
Tickets are $10 at the door and there will be free wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres.
Mike Hulett will perform.
Concert-goers can register when they arrive to win a $200 American Express gift card or a four-hour excursion to Blackbeard Island with Capt. Wild Bill Jarrell. Winners must be present to collect prizes.
A free lunchtime concert in the park Friday featured Carlos Bertonatti, who recently signed with Epic Records.
The acoustic guitar player, whose pop music has a little Latin beat to it, is on tour and Vicki Davis, director of the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, said Bertonatti was available because he was traveling through the area at that time.
The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority is one of the sponsors of the summer series of concerts.
If you missed the concert, you can sample some of Bertonatti’s music and humor at the Courier’s Web site, www.coastalcourier.com.
The free lunchtime concert series will continue throughout the summer.
Concert-goers are welcome to bring picnic lunches, blankets and lawn chairs. Area restaurants and vendors will also be selling food.
