Individuals and businesses joined together Monday to support WTOC news reporter Dal Cannady’s Walk for Heroes, benefiting the American Red Cross.

Throughout the day, as Cannady made his way across Liberty County, the following organizations supported him: Rotary Club of Hinesville; Liberty County Chamber of Commerce; The Pour House Bar and Grill; Jones, Osteen and Jones; Coastal Courier; Ameris Bank; South Georgia Bank; The Heritage Bank; Hinesville Area Board of Realtors Inc.; Liberty County Sheriff’s Office; First Presbyterian Christian Academy; American Legion Auxiliary Unit 168 Inc.;  Lyman Hall Elementary School;  Dorchester Village Properties; Coldwell Banker Holtzman Realtors Jimmy and Brigitte Shanken; Elaine Boggs Realty Group; Panera Bread, and countless individual donors.

The day’s events ended with celebrity bartending at The Pour House, where celebrity team South Georgia Bank took top honors, in raising $985 in 30 minutes. Liberty County’s donations totaled $4,650. The celebrity bartending was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hinesville and Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
