Members of the Long/Liberty County EMS recently held a bake sale to raise money for the Long County Relay for Life. The fundraiser, held at Liberty Regional Medical Center, raised approximately $400 for cancer research.
Those who participated were paramedic Patrick Daniels, EMT Marta Cuevas, paramedic Pat Kelly and paramedic/supervisor Gary Morrison. EMS Director Robyn Todd said that her staff has established a team for the Long County Relay for Life, and several more fundraisers are planned.
The Long County RFL is May 17-18 at Veterans Field. Last year’s RFL raised more than $35,000. This year’s goal is $37,000.
