Exhibit features photos of war on terror victims

Hinesville will showcase an exhibit, Remembering Our Fallen, showing portraits of servicemembers killed in the war on terror Sept. 6-18.

This mobile pictorial exhibit showcases everyone from Georgia who has been killed in combat since the war on terror began. It will be in the Hinesville Room at city hall and can be viewed 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays.

There will be an after-hours public reception 5-7 p.m. Sept. 6.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The exhibit is being funded by all of the financial institutes in Hinesville, as well as the Hinesville Area Arts Council, the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority and the YMCA.

It is associated with a national exhibit that will be unveiled on Sept. 7 in Washington, D.C., showcasing more than 7,000 fallen heroes. Soon after, the exhibit will start to a national tour. For more information you can check out www.RememberingOurFallen.org.
