Christ is the solution

The Bible tells us in Romans 5:6, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

As I recently pulled into the parking lot of a local retailer, I thought about what I may need. I realized that the store is full of solutions to problems. If you have a headache, they have an entire aisle dedicated to solving your problem! If you are battling allergies, they have a section full of allergy medications. They even have extended-release tablets: You take one now and it keeps on releasing medication into your body throughout the day. When you need it, it is there.

Sometimes, this is how the blood of Jesus Christ works. It is grace for your problems now. But it can also be grace for your problems tomorrow!  Once Christ’s blood is in your system, it continuously is being released in your life!

Many retailers pride themselves on having solutions to your problems. If you can’t see, there are vision centers. If your battery is dead, there are automotive repair stores. If you are hungry, there are grocery stores.  In magazines, there are multiple ads for solutions to almost any problem that bothers you: hair-loss fixes, acne creams and solutions to graying hair. This world is full of solutions. Some of these help, some don’t. There are some problems that retailers have no solutions for. However, there is no problem too big for Jesus Christ — He is the solution!

We have a problem in this world called sin. It has been around for years. Sin is what has caused humanity to be in the condition it is in. Yet sometimes, I think we focus too much on the problem and not enough on the solution!

Today, I want to tell you about the solution, not the problem. The solution is Jesus Christ; his blood is the atonement. If someone needs to be repaired today, Christ is the remedy! If someone needs to be restored, Christ is the reconciler.

Today, we are all faced with dilemmas. We have problems of some type. Issues abound in many of our lives. But no matter who or where you are, there is a solution. The solution is Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 9:14 says, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
