God's word works if you work it

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” — Isaiah 55:11

There are many things in this life that will work, but you have to know how to work them. For example, advancements in technology have given us phones that have the ability to speak to use, give us directions and a lot more. We even can see each other as we speak. Because of that, we can do conference calls from our computers.
But with all of the advancements, we still have a problem. The problem we have can be seen in relationships, jobs and the word of God. The problem that many people face with technology, relationships, jobs and many other things is that these things will work, but you have to know how to work them. And when it comes to the word of God, it works if you work.
The eternal question today is, how do we get the word of God to work in our lives?
The first thing we have to remember is from Isaiah 55:11: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
If God sends you a word, it will not come back void. How do we know this? We know this because of Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken and shall He not make it good?”
The other thing we have to do especially in these economically trying times with the crime rising, government shut downs, children, family and friends is that we have to have belief or have faith in the word of God. We are reminded that faith is the substance of things. Hope is for the evidence of things not seen. And we are reminded in James 1:22 to hearers and doers of the word of God.
I have seen people healed and set free from prison and bills and college tuitions paid because of faith in the word of God. And I am a living witness that God’s word will not come back void. Why? Because the word of God works if you work it!
