It's all about the thing called love

Truthfully, the Christian faith is all about this thing called love.
Before the beginning of time, God planned a way for his creation to be saved and spend eternity with him. The motivation was love, for that’s God’s character — “God is love.” His plan involved coming to Earth through his Son, Jesus, to become a sacrifice for mankind’s sins. Again, John 3:16 gives us the motivation of love when it states, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus Christ came, died, was buried and then rose again to prepare a place for us because of God’s love for us.
God will not force this love on any of us, but the invitation is open to every person, no matter who we are, to embrace it. We do this by choosing to trust Jesus for his forgiveness and by choosing to live a life of obedience. Then, as we experience God’s love daily, it flows through us to others. We actually are able, through the power of God, to love even those who are unlovable.
It really all comes down to this question: Do we want to be loved?
