I wanted to take time during this Thanksgiving season to thank you for all you do. There are always a few people who do most of the work. Sometimes that happens at work, in a family, in a church or in a community.
So, thank you for your concern for our community. Thank you for your donations to our community. Thank you for the food that you donate to the Manna House and other nonprofit organizations. Thank you to the churches, businesses, nonprofits, parents and grandparents, local government officials and leaders. Thank you for the love you show the youth and children of our community. Thank you for what you donate to the less fortunate. Thank you for supporting our soldiers and civilians who deploy to defend our freedom.
To those of you who understand the importance of doing your civic duty, thank you for voting and educating others on issues. Thank you for completing the Census forms, which impact the loss or gain of funds for this community.
And I must mention the businesses that keep us informed and healthy. Thank you, Coastal Courier, for publishing “Pastor’s Corner.” Thank you, Liberty Regional Medical Center, for the outstanding service. We must realize that hospital patients are not  only in the hands of great physicians, they are in God’s hands.
We have wonderful people and leaders in this community who believe in God. Thank you, Mayor Jim Thomas for bringing us together annually to publically thank God for blessing us.
And, most of all, let us thank God for this year. Even though it was a rough one, it could have been worse. We all have our reasons, but today I want to let you know that doing the right thing is always the right thing to do.
Sometimes it’s difficult to do the right thing, but when we make good choices, God is with us. Of course, we must all thank God for everything He does, but I also want you to look at someone else and thank them for what they have done.
We can’t handle life by ourselves. We all need help and support. Be encouraged and continue to do the right thing. For anyone who is curious about my inspiration, it is the holy Bible. Be blessed.
