Yes you can make a positive change

Aren't you tired of people telling you that you will never change or you will never do better? Well, I want to tell you today, "You can change." We both know that statement can be used to make positive or negative changes. We are not going to talk negative. We are going to talk about the positive change you can allow God to make in your life.
So many times we look at people and remember them and the things they have done. I remember a song where Kirk Franklin talks to Bishop T.D. Jakes and tells him how good he has it in life, "You are on the cover of several magazines."
Jakes let Franklin know that his life wasn't always that way.
We all go through changes in our lives. It could be from childhood to adulthood or from a non-believer to a believer in God. No matter how you look at it, everything starts with a change of mind. In Romans chapter 12, verse 2, we see, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God."
We must change and renew our minds and do what is acceptable — the perfect will of God.
How many times have you changed your mind about someone or something? You may have said, "I did not understand, but now I do and I will not do that anymore." Once you receive and understand the truth, you will want to change. Some of us will not be able to change our minds by ourselves. That's why God said to ask him for help. You will be surprised what God can do for you once you allow him to help you.
I know for a fact that I have changed. If you know me, you understand. If God can change me, he can change you. Look around you and see the wonderful works of God. I'm sure I don't need to point out every example to you. Look around and you'll see someone whose life has been changed or transformed.  I want you to remember and say to yourself, “I can change. All I have to do is ask God to help me. Remember, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Be blessed, and be ready, because there is a change coming.
