First responders give program

Representatives of the Hinesville Fire Department presented the program for the October Goldenheirs meeting.
Chuck Stewart opened the meeting with a devotional, using passages from Solomon and Ecclesiastes. That was followed by a covered-dish lunch.
Gary Reed and Eric Little, members of the HFD first-responder team, presented the program. They demonstrated the proper care and use of a fire extinguisher and explained they will do some courtesy calls to check smoke alarms, take blood pressure and set water heaters for energy efficiency. Those interested can call 876-4143.
The next Goldenheirs meeting will be at noon Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 220 E. Memorial Drive in Hinesville. Blair Saulk of St. Joseph’s Home Health Care will be the featured speaker. All seniors are invited.
