Friday is early deadline for Christmas parade entry

The 21st annual Illuminated Christmas Parade hosted by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau will be on Dec. 1.

The deadline for early discount entry registration is Friday; currently $35 for nonprofits and $45 for for-profits, plus $15 for additional unit.

Following Oct. 6, prices increase to $40 for nonprofits and $60 for for-profits, plus $20 for additional unit. No registrations will be taken after Nov. 25.

The parade will be in downtown Hinesville beginning at 6:30 p.m. The parade has been held in Hinesville for 20 years and showcases businesses, groups and organizations from all over the area. This event has previously attracted more 15,000 spectators and is televised as well as live streamed on WTOC.

Spectators are welcome to bring chairs to sit and enjoy the lights, floats and performances. This year’s route will be a little different, you can check the Liberty Chamber Facebook for a map closer to parade day.
