John Stetzer, president of the Goldenheirs Club, welcomed everyone to the monthly meeting on Feb. 3, at First Baptist Church in Hinesville and introduced special guest Spier Flanders from H&R Block.
Flanders talked to the group about their 2008 income tax returns and gave a slide presentation on deductions and some changes in tax laws.
Members conducted club business after the presentation and shared a meal.
Program Chairman George Laseter said the next meeting on March 3 will feature Sherry Somerville, who will entertain with music and information about the Fraser Center. She is the daughter of the late Dr. Whit and Mary Lou Fraser, who established the counseling center.
All seniors are invited to club meetings, which include a covered dish lunch at noon, followed by a program.
