Since 1955, the Hi-Fidelity Civic Club has made contributions for the betterment of Liberty Countians. Such contributions include providing scholarships to graduating seniors, making charitable donations and sponsoring social events. The group’s annual pageant is held during the holiday season and is the organization’s major fundraiser. The club uses the funds to support its civic activities throughout the year.

This year’s pageant theme is “Candyland Sweet Candyland: Savoring the Sweetness of Youth.” Three young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Hi-Fidelity Civic Club 2011 at 6 p.m. Saturday at Midway Middle School. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any club member or at the door.

The contestants are Mikia Deshae Frazier, daughter of Debra and Micheal Frazier; Jaqisha Sharonda Danielly, daughter of Cathy Boyce and Joffre Danielly; and Tamia Lashae Johnson, daughter of Terrel and Andrew Johnson.

The public is invited to the pageant.
