TIFTON — Courtney Barber, a student at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, will compete for the title of Ms. ABAC at the 46th annual pageant Oct. 23. Sponsored by the Ag Business Club, the theme of this year’s contest is “Timeless Elegance.”
Barber, a junior business-administration major from Hinesville, is sponsored by the ABAC tennis team. She is the daughter of Wallace and Mary Jane Barber.
The event begins at 7 p.m.
in ABAC’s Howard Auditorium. Admission is $10. Because of limited seating, advance ticket purchase is advised. Tickets are available by calling Audrey Luke-Morgan at 229-391-4807.
Participants will compete in casual and evening wear categories. They also will be judged on a written essay and an interview with the judges.
Director of Public Relations Emeritus Mike Chason will serve as master of ceremonies. All proceeds from the Ms. ABAC pageant will go to fund ABAC scholarships, and help the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and ABAC’s 2015 National Agri-Marketing Association Team.
