Participants in the eighth annual Kiss-a-Pig Poker Run head out recently from the parking lot of the Savannah Harley Davidson and Hooters off Highway 204  in Savannah.

About 100 bikes and cars participating in the event. About $3,200 was raised, bringing Liberty County candidate, Angela Powell, a step closer to kissing the pig. Proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association. The final event is the Silent Auction and Dinner set for May 19 at the Tybee Island Lighthouse. The candidate who raises the most money will smooch a porker during the event.
