On March 12, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary from Post 168 of Hinesville presented a $250 check to the American Red Cross for the people of Haiti. Program coordinator Mark Moses-Hunt accepted the donation from Auxiliary President Anneliese Knapp and secretary/treasurer Marie Lehigh.
Moses-Hunt talked about how the disaster-relief program operates and offered to speak to the ladies’ group. The coordinator will attend the Auxiliary’s general membership meeting in April.
The ladies plan to focus future endeavors on local emergency assistance.
