'Liberty Fest' pageant scheduled for July 14

The first Miss and Teen Miss Liberty Fest 2007 pageant will be presented July 14 at Brewton-Parker College.
The event is open to young women who reside in Liberty County, and who are single, never married, never had children and are of good moral character.
Competition will be evening gown only. Contestants will be judged on beauty, poise, personality, stage presentation and overall appearance.
The teen miss division is open to young ladies 13-16 years of age and the miss division is open to those 17-23. Teen and Miss Liberty Fest queens will receive crowns, custom designed sashes and gifts.
The pageant is sponsored by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and is directed by Rita Watson. Entries are available at Rita’s Bridal and Formal Shop on 131 S. Main St., the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and other locations in Hinesville.

Duties of the queen include: On July 20, the queens will assist with presentations of awards for a car show and other activities in the park in downtown Hinesville.
They will attend the Liberty Fest on July 21 and help with the presentations of awards and other events, and promote the celebration.
They will also ride in the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce lighted Christmas parade and attend the Christmas tree lighting in Bradwell Park.
