The Goldenheirs meeting on May 7 opened with Jane Cart doing the devotion with a Mother’s Day theme.

Rene’ Harwell of Liberty Regional Medical Center gave an overview of the facility’s expansion. The $14 million project is under way and will add approximately 30,000 square feet. Included in the project is expansion of the emergency, labor and delivery rooms and remodeling existing areas.

“Our goal is to get people in and out faster,” she said.

The rehab center is in a new area on South Main Street. More parking is added in front of the hospital. A grand-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in August or September.

Goldenheirs meets at noon every first Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 220 E. Memorial Drive in Hinesville, including a covered-dish meal and a program.  The next meeting is Tuesday.
