Lions collect to help blind

The Hinesville Lions Club will have its White Cane Day Saturday, April 7, soliciting donations at Wal-Mart and Kroger.
White Cane is a fund-raising activity of all the Lions Clubs in Georgia all funds collected are transferred to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation.  The Foundation provides eye surgeries and other care to the needy of Georgia.  They can negotiate each $1 donation into $5 of surgical care.  The Foundation also oversees the Georgia Lions Children's Eye Care Center at Emory University.
