Breast-feeding protest set for Savannah

SAVANNAH — Mothers from across Georgia are gathered in Savannah to breast-feed their babies in a demonstration aimed at changing state law.

WTOC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/ArpO6Z) that the "nurse-in" was being held Monday afternoon at Savannah City Hall.

Demonstrators say they want Georgia law changed so that breast-feeding mothers would not be ticketed under the state's indecent exposure statute.

WTOC reports that more than 20 other states have laws protecting mothers from public indecency violations.
