DaVita Inc., a provider of kidney care services for patients with chronic kidney disease, hosted an open house last month at Hinesville’s new DaVita center, Magnolia Oaks Dialysis. During the event, dialysis care specialists met with members of the community, answered questions and distributed educational materials about kidney care and disease prevention.
The Magnolia Oaks center, at 2377 Highway 196 West, provides hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis therapy treatment options for chronic kidney failure and disease patients. The center is one of 117 facilities serving patients in Georgia. Dr. Nick Eskandar, a Hinesville physician, is the new center’s director.
The new location was selected by DaVita representatives to provide increased convenience and comfortable community-based care.
“Our patients often spend 12 to 15 hours a week at our center so we strive to make the center a welcoming place from day one,” said Ginger Shealey, Magnolia Oaks Dialysis facility administrator. “We also want to be a community resource that our patients, their families and the community can count on for quality care as well as education resources.”
The 7,200-square-foot center has 20 dialysis stations with individual flat-screen televisions.
