As opportunities for female soldiers emerge in the Army, the need for a standardized mentor program is greater than ever. To address this need, the 3rd Infantry Division hosted its inaugural Female to Female mentor program kick-off Friday morning at the Main Post Chapel.
The event gave female soldiers a way to make connections with senior Army female leaders and learn about local community resources. The F2F mentor kick-off featured speakers, vendor booths from area businesses and classes aimed at enhancing knowledge, building resiliency and equipping female soldiers with the tools needed to face the challenges they’ll encounter as they advance their military careers.
Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence Lt. Gen. Mary A. Legere was the keynote speaker. Maj. Gen. Dr. Nadja Y. West, joint staff surgeon, led a discussion during the afternoon session.
