Free clinic for women in Ludowici

The Southeast Georgia Health System Wellness on Wheels vehicle will make its Long County debut during the Women’s Day on Macon Street at the Long County Health Department, 57 North Macon, St., Ludowici.
The event is planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 2.
The vehicle provides health screenings and preventative education to the residents of Long, Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, McIntosh, Pierce, and Wayne counties.
Staff members take the vehicle to health departments, YWCAs, industries and businesses, malls, health fairs, and community events throughout southeast Georgia, providing quality health care where it is needed.
Tours will be given of the vehicle and mammograms will be scheduled for the following day. Women can also get free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, dexa scans (screening for osteoporosis), and breast exams, as well as massages, manicures and pedicures.
Gourmet finger foods will be served, a makeup artist will also be on hand, and drawings for door prizes will be held.
