Liberty County Gateway Behavioral Health Services Developmental Disability program enrollees soon will enjoy leisure activities thanks to Royal Waffle King in Hinesville. Gateway received $1,064 collected by Waffle King during its recent customer appreciation day.
Restaurant customers were offered discounted meals, door prizes and giveaways. All proceeds were donated to Liberty County Gateway to provide services to people who use the center.
“Sincere appreciation from Gateway Behavioral Health Services goes to Royal Waffle King regional manager Nancy McElhenny, owner Charlie Krowder, manager Cheryl Hodges and all the staff at Royal Waffle King in Hinesville,” said Ambrose Probst, manager of the Liberty Developmental Disability Training Center for Excellence in Hinesville.
Two years ago, Royal Waffle King raised $1,207.11 for Gateway. All of the funds were used to take Liberty Developmental Disability Training Center clients to the Jacksonville Zoo. Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and Power House of Deliverance Church also provided transportation, and the Liberty County ARC bought boxed lunches.
