H1N1 vaccine clinic planned for Dec. 30

The Liberty County Health Department will have an H1N1 vaccination clinic from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the Liberty County Health Department, 1113 E. Oglethorpe Highway.
The department is offering the H1N1 vaccines to anyone 6 months of age and older.
Those at higher risk for complications from H1N1 are encouraged to get vaccinated. Those groups include:
• Pregnant women
• Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age
• Health-care and emergency services personnel
• All people 6 months-24 years old
• People ages 25-64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk of complications from influenza.
There is no cost for the vaccine although Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance carriers may be billed. Those attending should bring insurance information.
