Georgia Emergency Associates, a Savannah-based medical group, opened its fourth urgent care clinic, South Georgia Immediate Care Center, in Hinesville on Tuesday.
Hinesville’s South Georgia Immediate Care Center is at 780 E. Oglethorpe Highway at Gen. Stewart Way. The walk-in urgent care clinic treats adults and children older than 9 months of age for minor illness and injuries that do not require a trip to the hospital emergency room. The clinic also will offer a full range of employer health-care services as well as school and sports physicals and flu shots. The center accepts most commercial insurance, including TRICARE and Medicare.
“Our immediate care centers are all about meeting the community’s need for quality medical care at convenient times, in convenient locations and in a comfortable setting,” said Georgia Emergency Associates President and CEO Dr. Brian Kornblatt. “We are excited about the opportunities in Hinesville because it is a fast growing area, and non-hospital urgent care is in high demand in both the military and civilian communities.”
South Georgia Immediate Care Center’s Hinesville location has full x-ray and laboratory facilities in-house and will be staffed by board-certified physicians and trained staff. The center manager, Michael Bailey, is a nationally registered emergency medical technician-paramedic and retired Army medic, who formerly was administrator of resuscitative medicine at Winn Army Community Hospital.
“We’re committed to staying focused on excellence in individual patient care — from check-in through check-out,” Bailey said. “The Hinesville community is going to love us for our excellent clinical care as well as our outstanding customer service.”
