The importance of Hospice: Terri Lessnau, manager of public relations for Hospice Savannah spoke during the Rotary meeting Nov. 13. Lessnau talked about the importance of hospice when someone has reached the final stages of their life. Hospice Savannah is a community based non-profit organization. Lessnau herself got involved with hospice when her grandmother became very ill and was in hospice. “Hospice is vital not only for the patient but also for the family,” Lessnau said.
