Long County resident Angela Hartley recently joined the staff of the Long County Health Department.

Hartley, a Georgia Southern graduate, is a registered nurse with a professional healthcare background that includes work at the Dialysis Center at Memorial Health Center in Savannah and the Women’s’ Surgery Center in Statesboro. Wife to Jason Hartley and mother of a 4-year-old, she enjoys working close to home.

She voiced concerns for local residents, “The lack of resources, transportation and networking creates huge difficulties for our community.”

While Hartley recognizes these issues as shortcomings, she sees them also as opportunities and looks forward to doing what she can to equalize problematic issues and improve the healthcare and quality of life of her neighbors.
