Howard Family Dental recently announced that Dr. Sophia Khan joined their Hinesville practice.
Khan originally is from New York and earned her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She graduated from dental school at New York University, where she also taught for five years.
Khan participates in international-outreach work and enjoys being involved in the community. Every year, she travels with a team from NYU to Jamaica for one week, when they see and treat about 1,000 children and adults. The team also conducts a research study on the effectiveness of their work with children. Khan said the best part is “the children remember you each year.”
When she’s not at work, Khan likes to work out, cook, travel and spend time with her husband, Irfan. She said she is excited about the opportunity to serve soldiers and their families.
