Richmond Hill Pharmacy recently held its 10th annual health fair. Pharmacists and staff were available to answer attendees’ questions and provide health information.
For the event, Richmond Hill Pharmacy partnered with South University and offered patrons a variety of medical treatments and tests. Those in attendance received free blood-pressure and glucose screenings and participated in free glucose-meter swaps. Osteoporosis tests, bone-fracture risk assessments, cholesterol screenings and vaccines for flu, pneumonia and shingles also were available, although some shots required a doctor’s prescription.
“For nearly 30 years, we’ve worked hard to positively impact the health and quality of life of our local community,” said Al Dixon, owner of Richmond Hill Pharmacy. “We’re especially proud that this marked the 10th anniversary of our annual health fair and, as always, are thankful for the support and participation. Our goal is to educate and encourage our community to make positive health choices year round by providing vaccinations, information and demonstrations to increase awareness and encourage people to take charge of their health.”
Richmond Hill Pharmacy, part of the Coastal Family of Pharmacies, has been serving customers in the Richmond Hill area since 1984. The Coastal Family of Pharmacies also includes Medical Center Pharmacy at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah and Hinesville Pharmacy in Hinesville.
