Kiss-a-Pig, the largest awareness and fundraising campaign of the year for the American Diabetes Association, now is in full swing.
Kiss-a-Pig is a regional campaign that pits community leaders against each other to see who can raise the most money for the ADA. At the end of the three-month contest, the chairperson from the team that raises the most money gets to kiss a live pig, an animal honored by the ADA as the original source of insulin.
On Saturday, April 5, the Savannah Boar Association will host “Pints for Pigs” from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Southbound Brewing Company, 107 E. Lathrop Ave., Savannah.
Tickets are $40 and include samples of Southbound Brewery’s brews, a souvenir pint glass, a brewery tour, live music, corn hole games and more. Tickets are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/603679 or at the door.
