Winn Army Community Hospital on Fort Stewart will host a baby expo from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in the hospital’s Patriot Auditorium.
The expo will provide new and expecting parents with information and education. It was organized in large part because Fort Stewart currently is experiencing a “baby boom,” according to Winn Public Affairs Officer Michelle
Gordon.
The average birth rate for Winn Army Community Hospital is 60-70 births per month. That number is expected to more than double during the coming months. In fact, during September alone, more than 171 babies are expected to be born at Winn ACH.
The Winn Baby Expo will feature displays and vendors from both on and off-post agencies. Tours of the hospital’s newly renovated mother baby unit also will be available, and physicians and nurses will be available to answer questions.
