Air Force Airman Matthew H. Wiram recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Victoria Strelsky of London, Ky., and the nephew of Chad Wiram of Midway.

Navy Seaman Austin M. Ray, son of Navin L. and Bruce R. Ray of Hinesville, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
Ray is a 2010 graduate of Bradwell Institute.

Eby graduates from basic
Air Force Airman Joshua R. Eby graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Dennis and Kimberly Eby of Ludowici.

Carnes reports for duty in Japan
Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Samuel P. Carnes Jr. arrived for duty at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, to serve with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in preparation for future deployments to the Asia-Pacific region to ensure Theater Security Operations.
Carnes is a helicopter mechanic and quality assurance chief. He has 13 years of military service.
The gunnery sergeant graduated in 1993 from Bradwell Institute.

Morris graduates from basic
Navy Seaman Apprentice Colby C. Morris, son of Dacia R. Olson and brother of Faith Morris of Ludowici, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
Morris is a 2010 graduate of Long County High School.

Boyd promoted for excellence
Navy Seaman Apprentice Justin M. Boyd, son of Velvet N. Lee and stepson of Donald E. Perry of Hinesville, was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
Boyd received the early promotion for outstanding performance during all phases of the training cycle.
He is a 2010 graduate of Long County High School.

Army Pfc. Maritza M. Lopez recently graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
She is the daughter of Donicia Collins of Hinesville.
Lopez graduated in 2008 from Liberty County High School.
