Long County recently crowned the 2009 Miss Christmas Holiday Pageant queen during a ceremony in the high school cafeteria.
In the under 9 category, Trinity Boutwell was crowned baby miss and Kaylee Kennard was crowned toddler miss.
Angelina Grandia won the tiny miss division and Olivia Durrence took the petite miss title.
The people’s choice crown went to Abigail Pitts, who also won the 2009 over-all miss Christmas holiday crown.
In the 10 and older category, Alexis Durrence was crowned pre-teen miss and Ashley Murphy was crowned junior miss.
Fallon Brown won the miss title and Kylie Gaitten won the Ms. Christmas crown.
Morgan McGowan was the most sponsored contestant, and the 2009 over-all miss Christmas holiday queen was Shelby Carolyn Mock.
The pageant was sponsored by KIDZ-ETC, and, according to event organizer Kelli Mock, fun is always the top priority in pageants.
“We want all of our contestants to have fun, make new friends and just enjoy them selves,” Mock said. “We also strive to help each contestant have confidence on and off the stage. They are all winners to us.
“We also would like to thank all of the contestants, sponsors, audience, judges, tabulators and our emcee for this year’s pageant.”
