Long MLK honors
Riceboro Mayor William Austin presents a plaque to Mary Hamilton with the Long County MLK observance committee.

The planning committee for Long County’s Long County Martin Luther King Jr. celebration recently was recognized by the MLK Jr. Advisory Council for its efforts in organizing and presenting the activities on Jan. 10 in Ludowici.
Riceboro Mayor William Austin presented Mary Hamilton with a plaque on behalf of the council and said that the Long County committee’s efforts exemplified the message of peace and love that King epitomized.
The MLK Jr. Advisory Council is dedicated to promoting King’s principles.
