Kids between the ages of 2-12 each can get a free ticket to attend the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus on Jan. 21-25 in the Savannah Civic Center.
Those who want to qualify for a free ticket need to go to the Long County Library and enroll in the circus’ reading program. Once they are enrolled and begin participating in the program, they will be eligible for one ticket.
“This unique library reading program will encourage children not only to read, but also to discover, dream and learn,” library manager Tammy Goober said.
Goober said children have to attend the circus with an adult, so the purchase of one adult ticket is required. However, she said that for every paid adult ticket, up to three free children’s tickets can be obtained.
The free tickets can be used at the Wednesday and Thursday performances in the $20-$25 ticket areas.
For more information, call Goober at 545-2521 or go by the library during operating hours. For more information on the reading program, go to www.ReadingWithRingling.com.
