The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will host a Progress Through People Luncheon at noon Nov. 16, at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Flemington. The event will be sponsored by Webster University.

The United Way of the Coastal Empire (UWCE)-Liberty County will be the featured speaker of the luncheon. The UWCE-Liberty County is a nonprofit organization that services the Liberty County Manna House, Helen’s Haven, Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts in addition to hosting local programs such as the Backpack Buddy Program, Read Across Liberty and several mass mobile food drives throughout the year.

“We are excited to hear from the United Way and their volunteers and board members,” said Liberty County Chamber/CVB CEO, Leah Poole.

The cost to attend is $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members. RSVP by Nov. 12 by calling 912-368-4445 or emailing operations@libertycounty.org.
