Theodis Jackson, mobility manager for the Liberty Transit system, received the Employer Support Guard and Reserve “Patriot Award” on March 12 at Hinesville City Hall for his outstanding support of a Guard employee.
“This award is given by the U.S. National Guard to recognize employers who support their guard and reserve employees,” said Ed Wexler, Georgia area chair for ESGR.
Jackson was nominated by Stanley Highsmith, who also works as a mechanic for Liberty Transit and is in the Army National Guard.
“I had no idea that this award existed, but I appreciate the honor of being recognized. I would like to thank Mr. Highsmith for the nomination, his hard work and his service to our nation,” Jackson said.
